Which pharmacy prepares your medicine and ships it?
Get the business’s full pharmacy name and look it up in Florida’s records.

As of September 2026, Florida’s health licence search lists pharmacies in the section called Establishments. That means businesses or places, rather than individual people.
Match the name you were given with the record. Ask the service to explain any difference between that name and the name on the medicine label.
Compounded means prepared to order. FDA is the abbreviation for Food and Drug Administration.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are medicine names used in diabetes and weight care.
FDA has found made-to-order versions of those medicines with false pharmacy names on the label. Some labels gave the name of a pharmacy that was not real. Other labels named an existing pharmacy that had not prepared the medicine.
What if it ships from another state?
For routine shipments into Florida, an out-of-state pharmacy needs Florida registration, as of September 2026.
Internet pharmacies need a different Florida permit, with a licensed pharmacist in charge of filling prescriptions.
Florida may exempt out-of-state pharmacies making only isolated shipments.
Ask what permission covers this shipment.
Which permits cover made-to-order shots?
Sterile means free of living germs.
A batch facility is a business that prepares a supply of made-to-order medicines. It can make that supply before receiving prescriptions naming individual patients.
Shipping these sterile medicines into Florida requires an extra state permit for a pharmacy or batch facility based elsewhere, as of September 2026.
Pharmacies making these drugs in Florida also need a separate sterile-compounding permit.
That extra permit is not required if a pharmacy makes only preparations that meet the immediate-use rules for sterile medicines. Those are rules for medicines prepared to be used right away, not a choice you make after delivery.
Ask the pharmacy whether it relies on this exception and how it meets those rules for your medicine.
Ask for the added permit details. The Florida permit number is separate from the main pharmacy permit number.
FDA calls a registered business making sterile medicines in batches an outsourcing facility.
FDA publishes a list of those facilities. Use it to check the name you were given.
